Jungle Hits

As the 90’s rolled in, a new style of music called ‘Jungle’ born out of the rave scene began to develop in the UK. A whirlwind fusion of Ragga, Dancehall and Reggae derived basslines, merged with sprinting sounds of electronic drum tracks and slower synthesised bass, saw the birth of Jungle music explode into a dedicated and vast cultural expression. The Jungle Hits series captured the essence of this movement, with knockout tracks sampling Shabba Ranks, Beenie Man, Buju Banton alongside classic tracks featuring General Levy and UK Apache.
