Marcia Griffiths

In what is perhaps the most male dominated musical genre, it’s the ‘Queens of Jamaica’ who add a touch of variety to the Reggae scene. Marcia Griffiths’ enamouring vocal tone brought her from backstage as a vocalist for Bob Marley to centre stage as a star in her own right. Still to this day, Griffiths holds the title of having the highest selling single of a female reggae musician with her 1989 smash hit, ‘Electric Boogie’.
