Buju Banton

Buju Banton

Buju Banton has been entertaining the reggae world since the age of twelve and is one of the most treasured names in Dancehall. The ‘prolific voice of ghetto youth’ not only vocalised the trials and tribulations of Jamaican hardship, but also addressed social issues including the condemnation of gun violence. Unsurprisingly, this resonated with the masses as 1992 saw Buju break Bob Marley's record of having the most number one singles in a year.
